An Interview with Luis Caparrós

AGE. To begin, tell us a little about yourself. Who is Luis beyond the camera and the titles?

LC. Beyond the camera, I’m a very approachable, curious, and grounded person. I deeply value simple moments, honest conversations, and time spent with myself. I enjoy constantly learning, challenging myself, and growing both personally and emotionally. Titles are important, but they don’t define me; what truly defines me is how I treat others and how I face life.

AGE. You work as a professional model and were crowned Mister Valencia 2025. How did you start working professionally as a model, and what did that recognition mean to you personally and professionally?

LC. I started in the world of modelling almost without looking for it, gradually, thanks to opportunities that came up and to people who believed in me. At first, it was a discovery, then it became a passion and a profession. Being crowned Mister Valencia 2025 was a very special recognition: on a personal level, it gave me a great boost of confidence and affirmation, and on a professional level, it opened doors, visibility, and new challenges that I face with great enthusiasm.

AGE. Your interests range from sports and nature to cinema, fashion, and gastronomy. How would you describe your lifestyle in a few words?

LC. I would say I lead a healthy and active lifestyle, where sport plays a central role as a way to take care of my body and clear my mind. I strive to maintain a balance between the physical and the mental, combining physical activity with habits that support emotional well-being. I seek a stable and mindful life, where health and consistency are the foundation of my everyday routine.

AGE. Animals and nature seem to be very important to you. What role do they play in your daily life and in how you stay grounded? Have they both always been part of your life?

LC. They are a very important part of my life. Nature and animals allow me to disconnect from the daily rhythm, gain perspective, and reconnect with what truly matters. I’ve always had animals since I was young, and I believe growing up with them gives you a special sensitivity that doesn’t develop in the same way without that contact. Living with animals teaches you to be more empathetic, to respect nature, and to connect more deeply with the world around you.

AGE. Besides modelling, you’ve also ventured into other industries and have recently appeared on
Playing with Fire (Jugando con Fuego), the Netflix reality show. How did that experience challenge you emotionally and mentally?

LC. It was a very intense experience. It confronted me with my impulses, my emotions, and the way I relate to others. Mentally, it was a huge challenge because it forces you to look inward, manage frustrations, and grow in a very short period of time. I emerged from it with greater self-awareness and a different perspective on relationships.

AGE. Fashion is clearly part of your world. How would you define your personal style outside of shoots and events?

LC. Outside of shoots and events, I’d define myself as a simple guy who enjoys life and the little details. I like to observe and learn from what surrounds me, which is why I don’t have a fixed or boxed-in style. I choose my clothes naturally, depending on how I feel at each moment.

AGE. Travel also seems to inspire you. Is there a destination that has changed the way you see life? Why are you so inspired by it?

LC. Travel inspires me because it breaks my routine and allows me to discover other ways of living, helping me appreciate what truly matters. Botswana changed the way I see the world by showing me that happiness doesn’t depend solely on material things, but on experiences, human connections, and the beauty of simplicity. Travelling broadens my mind, nurtures my empathy, and leaves me with lessons that transform me every time I return.

Quick-Fire Questions

AGE. One word your friends would use to describe you?

LC. Consistent. Always present and committed to what I do.

AGE. Early mornings or late nights?

LC. Waking up early to make the most of the day.

AGE. Gym session or outdoor adventure?

LC. Outdoor adventure. Exploring new places.

AGE. A film that left a mark on you?

LC. Inception. Fascinating how it plays with the mind and dreams.

AGE. Your ultimate comfort food?

LC. Sushi.

AGE. What instantly turns a bad day into a good one?

LC. A good conversation that makes me laugh or teaches me something new.

AGE. Something you’re currently obsessed with?

LC. I don’t aim to become obsessed, because then it turns into an obligation; I like to enjoy the journey.

Unveiling His Yummy Side

AGE. What does “yummy” mean to you — as a concept, a feeling, or a state of mind?

LC. For me, “yummy” is an attitude. It’s the way you feel about yourself; confident, enjoying your body, your style, and your energy. It’s celebrating who you are without asking for permission.

AGE. You shot an incredible story for Yummy 11 with Sasha Olsen. How was this experience for you? Was it your first nude photoshoot?

LC. It was amazing! Sasha is super professional yet very approachable, which made everything flow naturally with a lot of trust and confidence. It was my first nude shoot, and I would describe it as fun and freeing. I felt comfortable from the very beginning, and that shows in the results.

AGE. We know Yummy photoshoots are fun experiences, and usually, there are some memorable experiences worth sharing. Did something funny happen during your shoot that you’d like to share?

LC. The shoot was a real show of contrasts. We’d step out of the house into freezing rain, all of us shivering while trying to pose… and then we’d get close to the fireplace, and within seconds we were sweating like we’d run a marathon! We couldn’t stop laughing at that cold-then-hot rollercoaster; definitely one of the funniest moments of the shoot.

AGE. As someone who works with their body, how do you maintain a healthy relationship with it, and what’s the key to achieving a great physique like yours?

LC. The key is to listen to it and take care of it, not punish it. I train, stay active, and eat mindfully, but I also enjoy myself without guilt. A “perfect” body is more about confidence and consistency than about aesthetic perfection.

AGE. What part of your body makes you feel the most confident?

LC. My shoulders and torso. I feel they convey strength and confidence, which makes me feel secure in front of the camera or in any situation.

AGE. Do you feel sexier when you’re dressed impeccably or when you’re barely wearing anything?

LC. I’d say feeling sexy doesn’t depend on how much clothing you wear, but on how you feel about yourself. You can be impeccably dressed and feel incredibly confident and attractive, or wear very little and feel free, comfortable, and powerful… it all depends on your attitude and self-confidence.

AGE. Are you more of a subtle flirt or a direct provocateur?

LC. I’m more into subtle flirting. I like letting curiosity and tension build slowly; that’s where the magic of the game lies.

AGE. What’s the first thing you notice physically when someone attracts you?

LC. The eyes and the smile. They can say so much about someone’s energy before they even speak a word.

AGE. Slow tension or instant chemistry?

LC. Slow tension. I like the connection to build gradually, because it makes the chemistry much more intense when it finally explodes.

AGE. After an intense day of work, what kind of intimacy do you crave?

LC. After an intense day, my kind of intimacy is putting on my headphones and going to work out. It’s my way of disconnecting and enjoying my own space.

A Final Note

AGE. When you imagine your future — career-wise and personally — what’s the vision that excites you the most? What are your hopes for the future with a broader perspective?

LC. I’m a very positive person, and when I think about my future, I imagine myself achieving my professional dreams and constantly learning. I see myself growing in my modelling career, exploring new opportunities and challenges, while also enjoying experiences that help me evolve as a person. For me, the future is a combination of hard work, passion, and moments that bring fulfilment and joy, and I’m very excited for everything that lies ahead.
