An Intimate Interview with Emilio Alcaraz

Early Life, Sport, Creativity & Love

AGE. To start off, could you briefly tell us who Emilio Alcaraz is? Tell us about your childhood, your earliest memories, some nostalgic moments…

EA. I was born in Alicante, Spain, 29 years ago, and I grew up surrounded by an immense amount of love from my family and friends, who have always been the most important part of my life. Growing up in that environment instilled strong values in me, which have helped me greatly in such a demanding industry as this one.

AGE. Among your interests, we can find sports, photography and gastronomy. What types of sports do you practice, and what motivates you the most about them? Which one would you say is your favourite one?

EA. Right now, I’m fully focused on training for an Ironman next year, so triathlon is definitely my main sport at the moment. But honestly, I’ve practised almost every sport you can imagine. I’m a huge sports lover. I do it mostly for my mental health, to stay balanced, and to cope with stress.

AGE. You mentioned your father is a photographer, so I guess he’s the one to blame for your amazing skill and love for photography. Do you remember the first time you came in contact with photography? Do you have any cherished memories related to it?

EA. My dad is absolutely the one to blame for my love of photography. Both my parents owned a large marketing agency, and at home, we even had a second photography studio. I grew up completely surrounded by cameras, lights, and sets. Photography has always been part of my life, whether through modelling or later on as a content creator and influencer, and it played a huge role in shaping who I am today.

AGE. Gastronomy also seems very important to you. What type of flavours do you prefer, or which types of gastronomy are you drawn to more often? What’s your go-to dish or cuisine?

EA. Food is a very big part of my life. I always joke that I do so much sport just so I can eat whatever I want. I love both sweet and savoury food, but if I had to choose, I’d pick sweet. Breakfast is actually my favourite meal of the day.

AGE. I would like to ask you about your professional career. How did you venture into the modelling industry? How were you scouted, and how were your first experiences working as a full-time model?

EA. I was first introduced to a small modelling agency in my hometown, Alicante, through my father. I started doing small gigs there, and later I moved to Barcelona. That’s when I joined my current agency, UNO Models, a step that changed everything for me professionally.

AGE. What’s the part you enjoy the most about being a full-time model? And the least?

EA. What I enjoy most is travelling, discovering the world, and experiencing new cultures and incredible people. That’s truly the best part. The hardest part is the other side of that same coin: being away from home so often. Not spending as much time with my girlfriend, my family, and my friends is definitely the most difficult thing.

AGE. Social media also comes into relevance when talking about your professional career, since I believe you also dedicate a lot of effort to it. What role does social media play in your professional but also in your personal life? How much time do you dedicate to it as part of your job and just for fun?

EA. Social media is actually an even bigger part of my life than modelling right now. It’s one of my main sources of income, and I invest a lot of time in it every day. It also allows me to share my life and, in my own way, try to make the world a better place through my content.

AGE. I guess your love for sports makes it easier for you to keep in shape and have the perfect body when it comes to modelling. How much importance do you give to working out and keeping fit? Do you regard it as part of your job, or do you enjoy every second of your workouts?

EA. I genuinely enjoy every single workout I do. My physique is secondary to me because I do sports for pleasure. Since I train so much, staying in shape comes naturally. Of course, there are moments like Christmas, with lots of food and family dinners, but overall, I don’t obsess over my body; sport is my priority.

Quick-Fire Questions

AGE. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

EA. Think outside the box, enjoy every single second of the present, and don’t live stuck in the past or worried about the future.

AGE. What’s something most people don’t know about you?

EA. My love for art and painting. I absolutely love painting, and I’m actually quite good at it, even though almost no one knows.

AGE. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

EA. I take a few minutes to breathe and prepare my mind… and then straight to my coffee. Always coffee.

AGE. What motivates you to keep pushing forward every day?

EA. My family, my girlfriend, my brother, and the idea of my future kids.

AGE. What’s your guilty pleasure?

EA. Chocolate. And crêpes. I’m completely obsessed.

AGE. Do you believe in destiny, or do we create our own path?

EA. I absolutely believe in destiny. I truly think we are exactly where we are meant to be in life.

Unveiling His Yummy Side

AGE. What does Yummy mean to you?

EA. Yummy was one of the very first editorial magazines I discovered when I started modelling. Working with you was something I had always dreamed of, so being part of Yummy now is a huge honour for me.

AGE. You shot an extraordinary story with Sasha Olsen for the cover of Yummy 10, which looks really incredible. How was this experience for you? Was this your first time posing naked?

EA. It wasn’t my first time posing naked; I had done it before for a Spanish magazine. But working with Sasha was an incredible experience. He made everything feel very easy and natural, and I had been looking forward to working with him for a long time. I truly enjoyed every moment of the shoot.

AGE. Can you share with us any fun or special moments that happened during the shoot, or any special moments you enjoyed?

EA. Yes, definitely. At one point during the shoot on the rocks, we left our clothes nearby, and there were huge lizards next to them. They were massive, almost like dinosaurs. Sasha was like, “What the hell is this?” We were a bit scared, honestly, but it was really funny.

AGE. What are your feelings toward nudity? Are you someone who feels comfortable walking around naked at home, or do you ever visit nude beaches?

EA. I don’t really go to nude beaches, but at home I sometimes walk around naked. It makes me feel freer, lighter, and also more connected and open with my partner.

AGE. You mentioned being a summer boy, and I think this shoot really showcases summer boy vibes. What’s the key to being a sexy summer boy like you? Tell us your secrets…

EA. For me, it’s all about energy. Feeling free, confident, present in the moment, enjoying the sun, the sea, movement… A summer boy is someone who doesn’t overthink, who simply enjoys life, feels light and lets his natural vibe flow.

AGE. What’s the first thing you notice about another person? What attracts you the most?

EA. The first thing I always notice is their energy, without a doubt. If I don’t feel a connection with someone’s energy, it’s very hard for me to connect with them at all. And I also have to admit it, I really notice legs too. They’re important to me.

AGE. You already engage a lot of people in your comments, but I wonder, what’s the weirdest DM you’ve received?

EA. This one is difficult because I’ve received so many DMs over the years… Honestly, I’ve seen everything. It’s hard to choose just one that really stands out as the weirdest.

AGE. What’s your favourite type of underwear?

EA. Boxers, definitely.

AGE. To close this lovely conversation, I would like to congratulate you on your recent engagement! How did you live the proposal moment? Having travelled the world, what destinations do you have in mind for your honeymoon? What are your plans for the lovely future ahead?

EA. The proposal is probably one of the happiest memories of my life; it was magical. I was incredibly nervous, but I had prepared everything with the hotel, on a private beach where we were staying, so I felt safe and ready when the moment arrived. As for the honeymoon… that’s a tough one. We’ve travelled so much that choosing a destination isn’t easy. We’re thinking about places like Sri Lanka, South America, or maybe French Polynesia, but honestly, we’re not sure yet. We still have time. Regarding our future, we recently rented a home, and we’re furnishing it now. Hopefully, it will be the house where we’ll have our kids someday. My plan with her is simple: keep travelling together, keep the love alive, keep our energy strong, and build a beautiful life together.
